A Woman Caught Cheat in Bank

Sharmila Singhal saw a man, in his twenties, was advising another customer to jot down the serial numbers printed on a wad of currency notes. Singhal watched in alarm as the man procured the bundle, neatly folded a few notes at the bottom and pocketed them.. “I had been conned in a similar manner last month and could not bear to see it happen with someone else again,” she told TOI. The doctor grabbed the crookâs collar and told him that his game was up. The man brushed her aside and started to run, but Singhal chased him and raised an alarm. “Bank staffers and other customers heard the commotion and rushed to my aid,” Singhal added. Later, the police arrived at the spot and arrested the duo.
