RadioShake and Video Games

RadioShack Corp. has started selling video game hardware and software on its Web site and is preparing an in-store test. Credit Suisse analyst Gary Balter – in a report titled “GameShack?” – said the company’s decision to sell video games, hardware and accessories online and in a select number of stores in time for the holiday shopping season may not be a slam dunk. RadioShake shares are up about one third for the year 2007 but are down sharply from their high of 34.87 dollars. The gaming industry is product-driven by next-generation consoles and subsequent game releases, but it’s been plagued with shortages and late deliveries.
